Keeping it local, Steven McIvor is a local Newcastle based photographer who asthetic collides perfect with the Dayne Henderson brand and the results speak for themselves.

Dayne learnt the value of social media after a tweet to Lady Gaga's stylist bagged him an opportunity to design for the superstar. The brief was to create a collection of headpiece's for the star and her dancers for the ARTPOP world tour, inspired by his 'ICH BIN KUNST' collection. The outfit has been placed up there with some of the wildest costumes the performer has ever worn, an accolade that Dayne is very proud of.

Inspired by the late great Leigh Bowery and the avante garde fashion of the 90’s New York clubkids Ich Bin Kunst intended to capture the essence of Bowery and extreme fashion through Daynes own aesthetic. The collection features exaggerated silhouettes achieved through the use of inflation and a controlled sense of madness, with a considered positioning of appliqué and stripes. Paired with an acid house and monochromatic colour pallet gives the collection a pop art vibe not always seen in latex fashion. Full Enclosure masks are thrown into the mix to give not only a sense of dehumanization but also a touch full enclosure kink!

“This collection is not for the faint hearted, even I find it a bit mind bending to look at when its stood in front of me. Often models tell me they don’t feel human in my clothing and its brilliant, that’s the whole point - If you wake up feeling like an alien, chuck a mask on and go party!” - Dayne

Technosexuality is a conceptual collection set in a cyberpunk 'near future'. Based on the suppression of the lower classes; this is realized throughout the enforcement by law of wearing masks, the idea that to have our own identity is a privilege that can be stripped away for criminality or lifestyle choices.

Rubberboys was the first collection created as a ready to wear line aimed at rubber dudes with a passion for fashion as well as filth. Old school fetish with twist of the future and a sleek sportswear edge. The rubberboys collection is designed to be worn as clubwear and for more, shall we say 'practical use'
